“I lost some time once. It's always in the last place you look for it.” (Neil Gaiman)

Just Read It

Good books are sneaky. They pounce on you when you least expect it, drawing you in with their arresting titles, their compelling plots and crisp prose, leaving you to struggle with those monumental questions:
  • Do i read you?
  • More importantly, do I read you NOW at the expense of reading what I already have?
I have heard so much about Joan Didion's latest and am so keen to read it, even though over the weekend i added this and this to my collection. That's not to say that I have a French-cooking itch that I need to scratch or can relate to being at the receiving end of an abusive relationship. It's just that these are two titles I have been hankering after for awhile, but lack of time and the jealous demands of other books in my possession had prevented me from getting my hands on them earlier.

I must be fair. For all the excellent things I have heard about it, Joan's new tome will have to wait.

The things I do to put off the inevitable start of a new work week ^_^
